Product Description
The Broadcom BCM5719-4P OCP NIC packages the same quad-port NetXtreme BCM5719 Gigabit Ethernet controller used on the standard PCIe card into an Open Compute Project (OCP) 3.0 Small Form Factor adapter, letting hyperscale and enterprise server vendors integrate four RJ45 Gigabit ports directly onto an OCP 3.0-compliant motherboard slot instead of a conventional PCIe riser. This tool-less, hot-serviceable card format is common in OCP-based rack servers where front-facing cable management and blind-mate connectors favor an OCP mezzanine NIC over a bracket-mounted PCIe adapter. Electrically the adapter connects over a PCIe 2.0 x4 host interface and inherits the full BCM5719 feature set: stateless TCP/UDP/IP checksum and segmentation offload, Receive Side Scaling, NIC Partitioning, SR-IOV, PXE/iSCSI boot, and an NC-SI sideband link for baseboard management controller integration. It is identified under Broadcom ordering part number BCM95719N1905G and marketed under the model designation N41GBT in some OEM catalogs.
