The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-7 MCX75510AAS-HEAT is a single-port, 200Gb/s InfiniBand NDR200 VPI adapter built on a PCIe 5.0 x16 host interface and designated Socket Direct Ready - it includes the auxiliary connector needed to add NVIDIA Socket Direct functionality via a companion card in supported dual-socket server platforms, while operating as a standard high-performance x16 adapter out of the box. As a ConnectX-7 HCA, the card delivers native InfiniBand transport with SHARP in-network computing, adaptive routing and advanced congestion control for large-scale HPC and AI fabrics, along with RoCE v2 support when configured for Ethernet operation. GPUDirect RDMA enables direct GPU-to-NIC data transfers that bypass the host CPU, accelerating distributed AI training and HPC workloads, and Secure Boot with hardware root-of-trust protects firmware integrity. This SKU gives system integrators a migration path to Socket Direct topologies without committing to the fully split 2x8 configuration from day one.
