The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-7 MCX75310AAS-HEAT is a single-port, 200Gb/s VPI (Virtual Protocol Interconnect) adapter that installs through a standard PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and runs either InfiniBand NDR or 200GbE Ethernet from its OSFP port (Ethernet is the factory-default mode on this SKU). As a ConnectX-7 HCA, it supports NVIDIA's full in-network computing capabilities - including SHARP hardware-accelerated collectives, adaptive routing and advanced transport offload engines - for InfiniBand deployments, alongside RoCE v2 for RDMA over Ethernet when configured in Ethernet mode. Secure Boot with hardware root-of-trust protects firmware integrity against tampering, and GPUDirect RDMA enables direct GPU-to-NIC data transfers that bypass the host CPU, accelerating AI training and HPC workloads. Unlike Socket Direct SKUs, this card uses a single standard x16 PCIe connection, simplifying deployment in single-socket servers or dual-socket platforms where Socket Direct is not required. It ships in a standard-height, stand-up PCIe form factor for broad server compatibility.
