Product Description
The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-7 MCX75210AAS-HEAT is a single-port, 200Gb/s VPI (Virtual Protocol Interconnect) adapter that runs either InfiniBand NDR200 or 200GbE Ethernet from the same OSFP port, giving system architects the flexibility to deploy one card across both fabric types. It uses NVIDIA Socket Direct technology, splitting the PCIe 5.0 host connection across two physical x8 links (2x8 in a row) that attach to two CPU sockets in a dual-socket server - this shortens the data path from GPU/NIC to the nearest CPU, reduces cross-socket traffic, and improves effective bandwidth and latency in multi-socket AI and HPC nodes. As a ConnectX-7 InfiniBand HCA, the card supports NVIDIA's full in-network computing stack - including SHARP in-network reductions, adaptive routing and advanced transport offloads - alongside RoCE v2 when operated in Ethernet mode. Secure Boot with hardware root-of-trust protects firmware integrity, and GPUDirect RDMA enables direct GPU-to-NIC transfers for AI training clusters. This SKU is purpose-built for large-scale GPU compute nodes where socket-aware I/O placement matters.
