Product Description
The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-7 MCX713114GC-GEAT is a quad-port 50GbE adapter that combines ConnectX-7's high-throughput Ethernet networking with an onboard GNSS receiver and PTP Grand Master capability, making it a self-contained precision timing source for telecom and time-critical infrastructure. Beyond four QSFP56 ports delivering up to 50Gb/s each (200Gb/s aggregate) over a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface, the card supports Enhanced Synchronous Ethernet (Enhanced-SyncE) and can operate as an IEEE 1588 PTP Grand Master, deriving its reference clock directly from a connected GNSS antenna and distributing precise time via a PPS output - eliminating the need for a separate standalone Grand Master appliance. This makes the MCX713114GC-GEAT particularly well suited to 5G RAN timing hubs, data center time distribution and other applications where the server itself must act as the network's authoritative time source. The card retains ConnectX-7's inline hardware crypto offload for IPsec/TLS, Secure Boot with hardware root-of-trust, full RoCE v2 RDMA support and ASAP2 virtual switching acceleration, delivering carrier-grade networking, security and timing in a single PCIe card.
