Product Description
The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-6 VPI MCX653435A-HDAE is a single-port OCP Spec 3.0 adapter that delivers NVIDIA's Virtual Protocol Interconnect (VPI) flexibility — switchable between 200Gb/s HDR InfiniBand and 200GbE Ethernet — from one QSFP56 port over a PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface. Built on the ConnectX-6 ASIC (MT28908A0-XCCF-HVM), the card supports native InfiniBand RDMA as well as RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2), giving system integrators a single adapter that can be field-configured for either fabric depending on cluster requirements. As part of the full ConnectX-6 (non-Dx) family, it carries the generation's in-network computing capabilities, including hardware support for collective operations that offload communication-heavy MPI operations from compute nodes — a key advantage for HPC and AI training clusters built on InfiniBand fabrics. Delivered in the OCP 3.0 form factor for tool-less integration into OCP-compliant server baseboards, the MCX653435A-HDAE is intended for HPC, AI, and enterprise clusters that need protocol flexibility without re-architecting the physical network.
