The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 Ex EN MCX566M-GDAI is a dual-port 50 Gigabit Ethernet adapter built on the OCP 3.0 Small Form Factor specification, combining a PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface with NVIDIA Multi-Host and Socket Direct technology. Its two QSFP56 ports deliver 50GbE connectivity with hardware-accelerated RoCE v2 RDMA for low-latency, CPU-efficient data movement. Multi-Host support allows a single adapter to connect and be shared by up to multiple independent servers, reducing switch port count, cabling, and per-server NIC cost in dense rack designs.
