The NVIDIA Mellanox MCX546A-CDAN OCP2.0 is a ConnectX-5 Ethernet network adapter built in the OCP 2.0 Mezzanine Card format for direct mounting in OCP-compliant server platforms. Based on the MT28808A0-FCCF-EV controller, it provides 2 port of 100Gb/s per port connectivity over QSFP28 cages, connecting to the host over PCIe 4.0 x16. It is an Ethernet-focused design delivering RoCE v2 RDMA for latency-sensitive, CPU-offloaded networking. Hardware offloads for RDMA, NVMe-oF, SR-IOV and overlay-network encapsulation reduce host CPU load while sustaining line-rate throughput, and the OCP form factor simplifies serviceability and airflow in dense, hyperscale-style chassis.
