The NVIDIA Mellanox MCX545A-CCUN is a single-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter in the OCP 2.0 (Open Compute Project) form factor, part of the ConnectX-5 EN family and built on the MT28808A0-FCCF-EV controller. It shares the same PCIe 3.0 x16 OCP mezzanine interface and baseline specification as the MCX545A-CCAN, but adds UEFI-enabled firmware for pre-boot network initialization, making it suitable for environments that require boot-from-network or early-firmware network configuration. Like other ConnectX-5 EN adapters, it delivers hardware-accelerated RoCE v2 RDMA for low-latency, low-CPU-overhead networking across storage, cloud, and compute workloads. As an OCP-form-factor member of the widely deployed ConnectX-5 generation, the MCX545A-CCUN is well suited to hyperscale and cloud data centers standardizing on OCP server platforms that also require UEFI network boot capability.
