NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 MCX516A-CCHT

The NVIDIA Mellanox MCX516A-CCHT is a dual-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet adapter from the ConnectX-5 EN family, sharing the MT27808A0-FCCF-EV controller and PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface of the MCX516A-CCAT, but adding UEFI-enabled firmware and Host Management (NC-SI-based out-of-band management) support. This combination makes the MCX516A-CCHT well suited for enterprise and data-center servers that require both pre-boot network initialization and BMC-integrated remote management of the NIC alongside the rest of the server's out-of-band management fabric. Like other ConnectX-5 EN cards, it delivers hardware-accelerated RoCE v2 RDMA for low-latency, low-CPU-overhead networking across storage, cloud, and HPC workloads. This SKU is also shipped as an HPE-branded variant (P21929-001) that is externally consistent with the original NVIDIA design, reflecting its qualification for HPE server platforms.
