The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 MCX512A-ACUT is a dual-port 25 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter from the ConnectX-5 EN family, built on the MT27808A0-FCCF-EV controller with a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface. It is functionally identical to the standard ACAT variant but adds UEFI (x86/Arm) boot firmware, enabling network boot and PXE deployment directly from adapter firmware on modern UEFI-based servers. It supports RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2) for low-latency, CPU-efficient network I/O, hardware storage acceleration for NVMe-oF targets, and SR-IOV for dense virtualization.
