The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx EN MCX4621A-ACAB is a dual-port 25 Gigabit Ethernet adapter in the OCP 3.0 small-form-factor (SFF) mezzanine format, the newer Open Compute Project connector standard that supersedes OCP 2.0 with tool-less, often hot-swappable serviceability. It provides a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface and two SFP28 ports at up to 25Gb/s each, with RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2) offloaded in hardware for low-latency, low-CPU networking. Unlike the MT27712A0-based cards elsewhere in this family, the MCX4621A-ACAB is built on the MT27711A0-EDCF-GE ConnectX-4 Lx controller variant used in this OCP 3.0 card design. The SKU is also cross-referenced under OEM part number 01PE647 for OEM server-channel sourcing. As an OCP 3.0 card, it targets current-generation hyperscale and enterprise server platforms standardizing on the OCP 3.0 connector for easier front- or rear-serviceable NIC replacement without opening the chassis.
