Product Description
The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx EN MCX4431M-GCAN is a single-port 50 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter in the Open Compute Project (OCP) 2.0 mezzanine form factor, built around the MT27712A0-FDCF-AE controller. It connects through a PCIe 3.0 x8 interface and provides a 50GbE QSFP28 port with hardware-accelerated RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2). The defining feature of the "M" variant is Multi-Host support, which allows a single adapter to be shared across up to four independent host CPUs or servers, each communicating with the card over its own PCIe connection, alongside onboard Host Management for out-of-band monitoring and configuration. This combination reduces the number of NICs, cables and switch ports required per rack unit, making it a preferred choice for hyperscale and cloud infrastructure designs that consolidate networking across multiple compute nodes sharing a single chassis tray. As an OCP 2.0 mezzanine card, it installs without tools into OCP-compliant server chassis.
