Product Description
The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx EN MCX4431A-GCUN is a single-port 50 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter in the Open Compute Project (OCP) 2.0 mezzanine form factor, built around the MT27711A0-FDCF-GE controller. It connects to the host through a PCIe 3.0 x8 interface and provides a single 50GbE QSFP28 port with hardware-accelerated RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2) for low-latency, CPU-efficient data transport. The card combines UEFI-based pre-boot support with onboard Host Management, enabling both UEFI PXE network boot and out-of-band monitoring/configuration independent of host OS state — capabilities frequently required in OEM server platforms and hyperscale deployments with standardized provisioning and remote-management workflows. As an OCP 2.0 mezzanine card, the MCX4431A-GCUN installs without tools into OCP-compliant chassis, offering a compact, standardized alternative to conventional PCIe add-in NICs for data centers scaling 50GbE east-west bandwidth.
