The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx EN MCX4111A-XCAT is a single-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet network adapter built on the cost- and power-optimized ConnectX-4 Lx silicon. Connecting via a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface, it delivers hardware-accelerated RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE v2) for low-latency, CPU-efficient data movement, making it well suited for general-purpose server networking, storage access and virtualized workloads. As an entry point into the ConnectX-4 Lx EN family, the MCX4111A-XCAT balances throughput, power draw and cost, and is widely deployed by enterprises, cloud operators and system integrators who need dependable 10GbE connectivity without the overhead of higher-speed adapters. The card uses a standard SFP28 cage that is backward compatible with SFP+ optics and DACs, simplifying integration into existing 1/10GbE cabling infrastructure. It is manufactured around the MT27712A0-FDCF-XE controller and is supported across the major server operating systems and hypervisors used in modern data centers.
