The MTE-U3401 is a 4-port external USB 3.0 PCI Express 2.0 host adapter providing 4 external USB 3.0 5Gbps Type-A ports in a Low Profile PCIe card (PCIe Gen2 x1 Lane). It uses a Renesas (NEC uPD720201) chipset and is compliant with Universal Serial Bus 3.0 Specification Revision 1.0, Intel xHCI Specification 1.0 and PCI Express Specification 2.0. All ports handle SuperSpeed (5 Gbps), HighSpeed (480 Mbps), FullSpeed (12 Mbps) and LowSpeed (1.5 Mbps) transactions, supporting USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices on PCIe 1.0 and PCIe 2.0 motherboards. The board is powered by the PCIe slot, with the option to draw power from the PC power supply through a floppy 4Pin or SATA 15Pin Power connector. Windows 10, Win8, Server 2012 and Linux kernel 2.6.31 and later support UASP with in-box drivers.
