The MTE-2160 is a low-profile PCI Express 16-port RS232 expansion card based on the EXAR XR17V358 chipset with a native single chip design. It provides 16 DB-9 (9 pin, D-Sub) Male ports over a single-lane (x1) PCI-Express interface with throughput up to 2.5Gbps, compliant with PCI Express base specifications revision 1.0a. Each port has an on-chip 256-byte depth FIFO in the transmit/receive path and supports data transfer rates up to 921.6Kbps. Hardware and software flow control and automated out-of-band flow control using CTS/RTS and DSR/DTR are supported. A full profile and a low profile/half-height bracket are included, and the card supports Windows, Windows Server, Mac OS and Linux (LTS versions listed).
