The Magewell Ultra Encode SDI is a standalone hardware encoder that accepts SD/HD/3G-SDI input signals with an SDI loop-through output, and an external analog audio input via a 3.5mm LINE IN. The device features a dual-stream simultaneous encoding engine capable of outputting a main stream and a sub stream at up to 2048x1080p resolution using H.264/H.265 (HEVC), with a maximum bitrate of 16Mbps. Network connectivity includes wired Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), and optional 4G/5G mobile broadband via USB modem. Supported streaming protocols include RTMP/RTMPS, RTSP, SRT, NDI HX2, HLS, MPEG-TS over UDP/RTP and TVU ISSP, with native live streaming to Twitch, YouTube and Facebook. The compact enclosure (106.6mm x 106.2mm x 25mm) is managed through a web-based UI that supports up to 8 overlay layers per stream and provides a third-party control API, making it suitable for live broadcasting, remote video contribution, broadcast production and live event streaming.
