The NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx EN MCX4111A-ACAT is a single-port 25 Gigabit Ethernet adapter that steps up from the 10GbE ConnectX-4 Lx cards to deliver higher per-port bandwidth while retaining the same cost- and power-optimized PCIe 3.0 x8 platform. Built around the MT27712A0-FDCF-AE controller, it includes a rich hardware offload feature set — QoS, CPU offloads, jumbo frame support, storage acceleration, SR-IOV, NC-SI sideband management, LLDP and QCN congestion control — making it well suited for virtualized, storage-intensive and congestion-sensitive 25GbE deployments. RoCE v2 support provides hardware-accelerated RDMA transport for latency-sensitive applications, while SR-IOV enables near-native network performance for virtual machines. This combination of 25GbE bandwidth and a comprehensive offload/virtualization feature set makes the MCX4111A-ACAT a strong fit for modern cloud, enterprise and software-defined-storage deployments that have outgrown 10GbE.
