Product Description
The Broadcom P425G is a quad-port 25GbE PCIe Ethernet NIC built on Broadcom's NetXtreme-E BCM57504 ("Thor") controller, designed for data centers that need four independent network links in a standard PCIe slot rather than an OCP 3.0 bay. Each of the four SFP28 ports runs at up to 25Gbps and auto-negotiates down to 10GbE, connecting to the host over a shared PCIe Gen4 x16 interface using four 28G NRZ SerDes lanes. The P425G implements RoCEv2 RDMA with advanced congestion control on every port, and TruFlow performs line-rate virtual-switch and tunnel offload across all four links. A silicon Root-of-Trust anchors secure boot and attestation, multi-host connectivity lets multiple CPUs share the adapter, and NIC partitioning further subdivides each port into independent physical functions. TruManage rounds out the platform with standards-based remote manageability, and the standard PCIe bracket makes the card a straightforward retrofit for existing rackmount server fleets.
