Product Description
The Broadcom P2100G is a dual-port 100GbE PCIe Ethernet NIC built on Broadcom's NetXtreme-E BCM57508 ("Thor2") controller, designed for cloud, enterprise, and high-performance computing servers that need maximum east-west bandwidth in a standard PCIe slot. Each of its two QSFP28 ports independently runs at up to 100Gbps and auto-negotiates down to 50/40/25GbE, connecting to the host over a PCIe Gen4 x16 interface. Four 56G PAM4 SerDes lanes per port deliver clean, low-latency signaling at full line rate. The P2100G extends RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2) with advanced congestion management to accelerate storage and AI/ML data movement, while TruFlow offloads virtual-switch and tunnel processing at line rate to free host CPU cycles. Platform security is anchored in a silicon Root-of-Trust with secure boot and attestation. SR-IOV and NIC partitioning support dense virtualization, and broad OS/hypervisor driver coverage makes the card a drop-in upgrade path for 100G-class server refreshes.
