Broadcom P1800GO 800GbE PCIe NIC

The Broadcom P1800GO is a single-port 800GbE PCIe Ethernet NIC built on Broadcom's scalable 800G Ethernet controller architecture (BCM57708, code-named "Thor Ultra"), designed for AI/ML data centers and high-performance computing that need PCIe-slot rather than OCP 3.0 connectivity. The card presents one 800Gbps Ethernet port in an OSFP112 cage and connects to the host over a PCIe 6th Generation x16 interface, matching the bandwidth of modern GPU/XPU platforms. Because AI workloads are highly parallel and latency-sensitive, the P1800GO extends RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2) with packet-level multipathing, out-of-order packet delivery, hardware-based selective retransmission, programmable congestion control, and advanced telemetry to keep tail latency low at scale. Platform security is anchored in a silicon Root-of-Trust with secure boot, attestation, and inline PSP-based encryption/decryption. Multi-host connectivity and 8-physical-function NIC partitioning let several CPUs or XPUs share a single adapter, while TruFlow and TruManage offload virtual-switch processing and simplify data-center manageability.
