Broadcom P1400GD-DLC 400GbE PCIe NIC (Direct Liquid Cooled)

The Broadcom P1400GD-DLC is a direct-liquid-cooling (DLC) ready version of Broadcom's single-port 400GbE PCIe Ethernet NIC, built on the same BCM57608 ("Thor 2") controller as the standard P1400GD. It ships without a heatsink on either the controller or the QSFP112-DD connector cage, so server and card vendors can fit a custom cold plate directly to the NIC ASIC and, where required, to the optical module — Broadcom supplies mechanical, 3D STP, and thermal-model collateral to support that design work. Functionally the card is unchanged from the standard product: a single 400GbE port that steps down to 200/100/50/25GbE, a PCIe 5.0 x16 host interface, fourth-generation hardware RoCE congestion control, and the TruFlow 400G flow-processing engine. The P1400GD-DLC targets GPU server networking, AI/ML training and inference nodes, and other high-density compute racks where direct liquid cooling is required to manage thermal load that conventional heatsinks and airflow can no longer handle.
