Broadcom P1400GD 400GbE PCIe NIC

The Broadcom P1400GD is a single-port 400GbE PCIe Ethernet NIC built on Broadcom's scalable 400G controller architecture (BCM57608, "Thor 2"), designed for AI/ML, cloud, high-performance computing, and storage networking in the server. The card presents one QSFP112-DD port running from 25Gb/s up to 400Gb/s over a PCIe 5th Generation x16 host connection. It supports fourth-generation, standards-based RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2) with hardware-based congestion control, delivering low, predictable latency and simplifying RoCE deployment at scale. The TruFlow flow-processing engine offloads virtual-switch handling from the host CPU to increase virtual-machine density, and on-chip tunneling support for Geneve, VXLAN, and NVGRE accelerates overlay-network processing. Platform security is anchored in a silicon Root-of-Trust with secure boot and attestation. NIC partitioning exposes up to 16 physical functions for virtualized workloads, and the card integrates directly with Broadcom's PCIe Gen 5 switches for GPU-based AI/ML servers, making it a natural fit for GPU scale-out fabrics and disaggregated storage.
