The Broadcom P1200G is a single-port 200GbE PCIe Ethernet network adapter built on Broadcom's Thor (BCM57508) controller, presenting one QSFP56 port over 4x56G PAM4 SerDes lanes that auto-negotiate across 200/100/50/40/25/10GbE. The standard PCIe Gen4 x16 card supports dual-host operation in x8+x8 mode, letting two hosts share the adapter's bandwidth, and offers SR-IOV with up to 1,024 virtual functions for dense virtualized environments. Hardware acceleration includes RoCEv2 for low-latency RDMA transport, the TruFlow engine for line-rate Open vSwitch offload, and a silicon Root-of-Trust with secure boot and attestation to protect platform integrity.
