Product Description
The Broadcom MegaRAID 9760W-16i is a PCIe Gen 5.0 RAID controller from the MegaRAID 9700 series, built on Broadcom's ninth-generation SAS5116W RAID-on-Chip (RoC). The 9700 series delivers up to 2x the random read performance and 5x the random write RAID performance of previous-generation MegaRAID adapters. The SAS5116W RoC integrates RAID cache directly on the chip, so the 9760W-16i no longer requires onboard DDR memory for data caching, while onboard energy backup and the CacheVault CVPM33 module protect cached writes against power loss. The controller connects up to 16 internal SAS, SATA or NVMe devices through a single x16 SFF-TA-1016 wide-port connector, running over an x16 PCIe Gen 5.0 host interface. Additional platform protections include CNSA 2.0-compliant Hardware Secure Boot, SPDM Attestation, and PCIe Embedded Analyzer (PEA) diagnostics. The 9760W-16i supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and JBOD, and is managed through LSI Storage Authority, StorCLI2 or HII.
