he Broadcom MegaRAID 9670-24i is a PCIe Gen 4.0 Tri-Mode RAID controller from the third-generation MegaRAID 9600 series, built on the SAS4124 RAID-on-Chip (RoC). The SAS4124 integrates a 2x72-bit high-speed DDR memory interface running at 3,200 MT/s, delivering more than a 4x increase in RAID 5 random-write IOPS over the previous generation. The 9670-24i directly connects up to 24 Gen 4.0 NVMe, 24G SAS or SATA devices through three x8 SFF-8654 (SlimSAS) connectors over an x8 PCIe Gen 4.0 host interface, giving system integrators maximum drive-count flexibility from a single controller. The card includes 8GB of cache memory backed by the CacheVault CVPM05 flash-based cache protection module, and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and JBOD. Hardware Secure Boot and SPDM Attestation protect adapter firmware, and the card is Universal Backplane Management (UBM) ready per SFF-TA-1005.
