The Broadcom LPe38100 SecureHBA is a single-port, 64GFC Fibre Channel host bus adapter from the Emulex Gen 7 SecureHBA family, purpose-built to protect mission-critical SAN traffic while sustaining full wire-speed performance. Built around Broadcom's XE701 SEC secure I/O controller, the LPe38100 offloads AES-GCM-256 Data Encryption In-Flight (EDIF) to hardware, encrypting every byte moving between server and storage array with session-based key management based on the ANSI/INCITS FC-SP-3 standard — no external key-management software required. A Post-Quantum Silicon Root of Trust, Secure Boot, signed drivers and CNSA 2.0-compliant algorithms harden the adapter against both classical and future quantum-era attacks. Autosensing 64/32/16 Gbps optics, an x8 PCIe Gen 4.0 host interface, and Emulex's Dynamic Multi-Core Architecture deliver up to 12,800 MB/s full-duplex throughput and up to 10 million IOPS, with concurrent support for NVMe/FC and traditional SCSI FCP traffic. The LPe38100 is managed through Emulex HBA Manager and Emulex SAN Manager for centralized, in-band SAN visibility and congestion control.
