Product Description
The Broadcom Emulex LPe36002-M64 is a dual-port, 64GFC Fibre Channel host bus adapter from the Gen 7 LPe36000 series, built on Broadcom's XE601 I/O controller and a PCIe Gen 4.0 x8 host interface. Each short-wave optical LC SFP+ port autosenses 64GFC (28.9 GBaud PAM4), 32GFC and 16GFC link speeds, doubling per-port throughput over 32GFC HBAs and delivering up to a 63% improvement in database query execution time when paired with modern PCIe 4.0/5.0 servers such as Intel Eagle Stream and AMD EPYC platforms. Silicon Root of Trust hardware secure boot authenticates firmware before execution, and the adapter is managed in-band through the Emulex SAN Manager app for centralized visibility, congestion monitoring, and reboot-free firmware, queue-depth and optics updates. Broad hypervisor and OS coverage — including VMware vSphere, Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE, Oracle Linux and Oracle Solaris — makes the LPe36002-M64 well suited to NVMe/FC all-flash array connectivity in dense, high-core-count servers.
