Product Description
The Broadcom Emulex® LPe35004-M2 is a quad-port, Gen 7 PCIe 4.0 Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter built for the highest-density all-flash array and NVMe-optimized deployments where maximum fabric connectivity per PCIe slot matters most. Based on the Emulex XE601 I/O controller and an eight-core Dynamic Multi-core Architecture, the LPe35004-M2 autonegotiates 32GFC, 16GFC, and 8GFC link speeds across all four ports and can be upgraded to 64GFC with hot-pluggable optics kits. With four active 32GFC ports the adapter can deliver up to 25,600 MB/s aggregate full-duplex throughput and over 5 million IOPS, while offering up to 3x better hardware latency than the previous HBA generation. Concurrent FC-NVMe and SCSI FCP support, port aggregation, and enhanced port-based error isolation simplify consolidation of multiple SAN fabrics onto a single card. A hardware Silicon Root of Trust, digitally signed firmware and drivers, and UEFI Secure Boot protect against firmware tampering, and the card carries a 10 million hour field MTBF for mission-critical reliability.
