The Broadcom Emulex® LPe35000-M2 is a single-port, Gen 7 PCIe 4.0 Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter engineered for demanding all-flash arrays, NVMe-optimized data centers, and mission-critical enterprise workloads. Built around the Emulex XE601 I/O controller and an eight-core, sixteen-thread Dynamic Multi-core Architecture, the LPe35000-M2 autonegotiates 32GFC, 16GFC, and 8GFC link speeds and can be field-upgraded to 64GFC with a hot-pluggable optics kit, protecting the initial hardware investment as SAN speeds increase. The adapter delivers over 5 million IOPS and up to 3x better hardware latency than the previous HBA generation, while concurrent support for NVMe over Fibre Channel (FC-NVMe) and traditional SCSI FCP lets data centers migrate to end-to-end NVMe SANs at their own pace. A hardware Silicon Root of Trust, digitally signed firmware and drivers, and UEFI Secure Boot protect against firmware tampering, and no-reboot firmware, queue-depth, and optics updates keep SANs online during maintenance.
