Product Description
The Broadcom BCM57416 is a dual-port 10GBASE-T Ethernet controller IC from the NetXtreme E-Series family, delivering integrated copper 10GbE connectivity together with the full RDMA/TruFlow offload feature set. It is designed for OEM server board layouts that need standard RJ45 copper cabling combined with hardware-accelerated storage networking. The chip integrates the 10GBASE-T PHY on-die, eliminating the need for a discrete PHY component and simplifying board layout, while auto-negotiating down to 1000BASE-T and 100BASE-TX for compatibility with existing cable plant. On top of a PCIe Gen3 x8 host interface, the BCM57416 implements the TruFlow programmable flow-processing pipeline and a hardware RoCEv2/RDMA engine, enabling low-latency storage and clustering traffic over copper. SR-IOV with up to 256 virtual functions and NIC Partitioning (NPAR) support virtualized, multi-tenant server designs. As bare silicon, the BCM57416 is intended for OEM integration onto qualified server LOM or PCIe add-in NIC PCBs.
